Moving to a new Apartment
Hey all,
I just signed a lease on a new apartment for after my wedding in May. I'm taking possession a little early to get settled, and Nat will join in May...
Anyway, the complex would only hold the apartment until March 14th, so I have 12 days to pack and move across town. I've got to pack my whole house.
Anyone have any quick moving tips? My house is organized already, so my thoughts are to get lots of rubbermaid boxes and just start dumping crap in.
Unpacking will be a nightmare, but at least I'll get the packing done in time.
Anyone in Cleveland want to make a few bucks?! LOL.

Yeah, my first tip is don't use Rubbermaid containers. You said rubbermaid "boxes" but I am assuming you mean their very roughly square containers. The would seem to stack well but they don't stack as well or use space as efficiently as just good old uhaul book boxes, the smaller ones. Personally, I hate moving and want to make as few trips as possible. I chose to buy a bunch of the boxes from uhaul. Most everything ends up in a box the same size so the stack and pack well. My

Thanks.... Those boxes are surely cheaper too. I just have a crap load of rubbermaid containers (like 50) so I'll buy boxes for the leftovers for sure.

Why buy boxes? You've got restaurants/businesses around town, don't you? Run down to McDonalds and ask them if they have any boxes, unless they're *******s they'll have plenty of boxes to give you. We used to give them out all the time when I worked there, saved us a little work.

I picked up 50 medium sized boxes for $15 yesterday at Home Depot. Can't beat that.... Now I have plenty of boxes, but need some more muscle.

Yeah, I know you're in this area somewhere, remember reading that. Moving to North Olmsted on the West Side. Nobody stalk me.
