What the heck is up with 'My Bad'?
Who made up this annoying phrase and why? I cringe everytime I hear it and I hear it everywhere. I so wish it would just go away. Am I alone here? Does anyone else hate this phrase or does anyone use it frequently?

I've been hearing that phrase for 20 years. No big deal to me. Just another shortened pop culture colloquialism (now how's that for a word, and the spelling-thanks FireFox).
Sorry I lost track of the subject:

Really? I have only been hearing it lately, maybe it has just increased in popularity or something.

I don't mind it as it takes more effort saying that instead of oops

I've been hearing this phrase a lot lately (movies, tv shows). I don't have any problem with it, but I can't see myself actually saying it.

I don't mind hearing it mostly because it is about as close as you get to anyone admitting responsibility for messing up. It seems like way too many people are just way to concerned with making sure that a mistake by them does not come back to them. I prefer to admit my mistakes and learn from them (most of the time ). I don't really get annoyed at phrases. Not really worth it.

My bad has been around since as long as I can remember...and I was born in '83... so... it's nothing new. I don't hate it, but I also don't love it and prefer to use proper English.

Proper English?!?!? You...you........librarian you
The real question is define proper English. It has become so hard to nail down and so seldom used that it is scary. I find I have to dumb my language down in most cases or people just think I'm a snob or just too strange. It's a sad comment on our society and our education system. Oh well.
Wat der hek do u meen????
