I'm not that big on chocolate, but my wife says Dove or Cadbury for her.

If you like chocolate (like me) read this here, (I copy&paste what I found on my own boards just now)...
Quote:
Hershey's is leading an industry effort to have fake chocolate sold and labelled as real chocolate in the U.S. They are trying to sneak new regulations past the FDA as a "consumer petition" to get rid of standards requiring that chocolate use real cacao solids (they want to use artificial flavorings) and real cocoa butter (they want to use cheap vegetable oils). They also want to get rid of the requirement that milk chocolate be made from whole milk (they want to use milk protein concentrates).
To read more about their efforts to sell you fake chocolate see: http://www.teenwitch.com/foods/chocolate.html
To learn how to protest to the FDA before the dealine (April 25, 2007) , go to http://dontmesswithourchocolate.guit.../howtohelp.asp

You'll love it, but van Houten is Dutch chocolate, not German.

So I've always loved Lindt 85% and somewhat 70%. Now I see they have varieties with 55%, 65%, and even 99%, which I am definitely wary to try. Has anyone encountered and tasted these?

I love Lindt 70%.
And if that bit about changing what can go into chocolate... grr! Looks like comments on the FDA site are open until 6/25/07. http://dontmesswithourchocolate.guit.../howtohelp.asp tells you how to share your thoughts.

Currently loving Hershey's Sticks Extra Dark 60% cocoa. They are hard to find but are just 60 divine calories a piece!
