what is your blood group ? Will you donate to needy.. if asked ?
Dear Friends
I had a friend who died due to Dengue.
my blood was not enough to support him.
He died due to lack of funds and blood donors.
tell me your blood group and will you help a needy person on time ?
Tell me if you will..
I pledge.. I Will

I have no idea what my blood group is. But when a friend, family member or someone I know is in need I would donate for sure.

Thanks Jesse..
I would like to have your blood group for me.. but one should know it and should write it for others.. for we dont know when we need it.
It cud be for ourselves or for who need it..
I wud like people here to think and try to answer anyone in need.
I will definitely go and donate my blood to any call..I know or not.. but a human need.
I will be there.. I guess.

One should know blood group
I am not asking for my use or data bank..
I am making this thread to let people aware of what details they must have about themselves with them.

I have O Positive, but I can't donate. I don't weigh enough, you have to be a certain weight to donate, and I'm short of the minimum weight requirement. I tried to donate back in the 1970s and was told that.
I guess you have to weight at least it was like 110 lbs or so, and I'm only 92 lbs, have been that weight since the early 1970s and after having 3 kids I'm still the same. Probably no chance I'll ever weigh more.

I'm not sure what bllod type I am but you made a great thread, I always see blood drives going on at my gym, next time I will make it a point to donate, thanks for bringing this to my attention I know they need blood, but I didn't know that people were dying from there being a shortage.
By the way, so sorry to hear about your friend, hope my donation makes a difference!

I have no idea what my blood type is, but I've been meaning to find out..just to satisfy my curiosity. Does it say on a birth certificate or something?

Low BP is quite dangerous, my mom has the same
She some time feels very drowsy and faints a few times... infact low BP is more dangerous than high BP

O+ but I have 2 blood disorders so I have been advised that I can't contribute. I remember my dad regularly donating blood when I was younger. He has the rare one...like B- I think or something like that.
Sorry to hear about your friend though.

I'm an O positive, the most common type I'm lead to believe. I donate regularly (though I just had to postpone a donation session today)

I've never fainted, which weird. The doctor is surprised and doesn't believe me. My mother's family has a history. I've come close a couple of times, but always managed to "come back" before passing out.

believe me...even if I typed you would go WHAT? Basically I have one that creates clots (in every vein so not just DVT) and one that won't break down any clots (which we all are suppose to do naturally). And I'm not sad. I am just happy I found out before anything happened. Strange thing is my dad was hospitalized for pulmonary emboli and I had been having some chest pain during a trip.
