A shameless plug for my own profession: Be an EFL teacher.

Major in business (I would do economics / finance since investing is more likely to make you rich than working for someone else) AND English or Education.

Now you don't need an undergrad degree in English or Education but it helps you get an EFL job in some parts of the world. At some point, go to Barcelona and get a CELTA certificate from International House.

You can now travel Europe and Asia teaching English. As an avid gamer myself (I do live action roleplaying) experiencing other cultures will give you some cool ideas for gaming stuff.

Plus it's just cool.

And while in college, get a bunch of .edu blogs and sucker people into overpaying for links that are nothing special...

Life BEGINS after High School, or at least it should. You have so many options at this point - you're probably not in debt (I hope not, at least) you really have nothing to lose and you can go in nearly any direction. Explore and make sure that your ideas meet up with actual experience. For example, have you ever worked in an office? Have you worked in an office for more than five years? Office work has its perks, but working in one for years and years has definite drawbacks. Have you ever run your own business? If not, how do you know you'll like it? Go out and talk to people who are involved in what you want to do. Explore a bit before jumping in and getting yourself into a situation you can't get yourself out of. Get more information so your decisions feel more informed. You may find that what you want to do and what you actually enjoy doing aren't the same things. Sounds strange but it happens to everyone.
