Not sure if anyone here picked up the news article, apparently the UK will begin to post images of lungs damaged by Cigarettes on the box itself. They feel that the image may be worth a thousand words, so to speak.

I think there are more public smokers in the UK, from what I've seen so far.

Smoking inside public buildings in the UK such as pubs, clubs, work places is banned earlier this year. As it is on public transport. Most smokers are left with hanging about outside as a consequence.
The age at which smokers can legally buy a packet has just been raised from 16 to 18 a couple of week ago.
Its part of the policy to reduce smoking. It seems to be working.

Indoor public smoking was banned in Canada a couple of years ago, but still the difference shows.
Yay reducing smoking!

im not a smoker also and i would never be one..but i must admit that i have tried smoking when i was still studying..that was a long time ago.. i really dont like smoking at all..that is not my thing..and i also dont like the smell of cigarettes..
i know it would be challenging for smokers to quit smoking because its already instilled in their bodies and already a part of their habit..

Anyone else quit recently or planning on quiting?

Good for you mister! As for now I can't seem to quit the habit cuz I think I still need it. I've been dependent on cigs for almost two years now and I think I could go on without it - still, I don't have the will to quit.
But I gotta say this, I'm an athlete and during my training days and competitions I still smoke a bunch of cigs but I don't see it affect my performance. I could still go on for hours and hours and long distance, but what I do not know if its gonna make me better in my sport if I didn't smoke at all.
