Just quit smoking.
4 days ago was the last time I had a cig after smoking for over 10 years strait. I finally convinced myself that if I really wanted to quit I just wouldn't have another smoke, and it worked. I crushed up a deck of smokes in my hand like a mad man right before going to sleep and left it on my dresser.
FREEDOM, finally.
Anyone else quit recently or planning on quiting?

I have stopped for a few years now. Used to smoke about 20 a day for about 14 or so years, more on the weekends.
Stopping is a great feeling but that feeling soon goes. Your best bet is to start again, just so that you can get back that feeling of stopping
On a serious note, stick to it as I still have friends that smoke and they are so jealous of me for stopping and (in the UK anyway) smoking is soooo bloody expensive, I have saved loads and also feel much better for it.
You go there dude and show them how it's done

I quit a few months ago. No desire to smoke whatsoever, due largely to this book.

At this point in my life I have no desire to stop smoking. I don't really care for cigs, myself. I enjoy the occasional clove, a cigar about once a day, and some purple haze every so often We'll see how I feel in time, but right now I'm enjoying my life as is

I'm not a smoker - but I can imagine how challenging it must be to give it up. Good luck to you! You're saving your own life.

Best of luck to you and if you happen to slip up one night don't consider it to be the end of your quitting process. Just try your hardest to quit again and as soon as possible. Nicotine is one of the most addictive drugs so props and congrats on your freedom. Once again best of luck to you
