Some of those are funny for sure. There is a fine line and I think a few are just over the border. I'm not sure if I should find those ones funny or be a bit upset by them. Some could be seen as offensive.  |

What things offend you SITA? Not necessarily from the posters, but in general. To be honest I don't think I have ever really been offended in my life by anything. Life is what it is and if you can't laugh at the good, the bad, the ugly, the misfortunes, etc...how should we react? |

Wow, what an interesting question. I don't know if I could do it justice without giving it considerably more thought than I have time just now, but looking at those posters, the one's I found offensive were: 'Optimism', 'Black People', 'Asians', 'Racism' and 'Fail'.
I suppose it is tied in with my own experiences to some extent in that I have at various times been on the receiving end of racism or stereo-typing, so I have a short fuse wherever I encounter it.
I guess the line that I draw is laughing with or at somebody. There is a point where the laughing turns to mocking. Of course we each draw that line at different points and see these 'jokes' from our own point of view. But sometimes when you try to look at these same jokes from the 'butt's' perspective it may not be so funny.
Take 'Jiu Jitsu' for instance, when I first looked at it I smiled and was doing so because I could sense the humour that both wrestlers obviously felt. But when I read the caption it turned an innocent smile into something less trivial, I wouldn't quite say dirty but the implication was there. That innocent picture of two wrestlers going about their business and enjoying a laugh has been twisted to perhaps represent something it does not. It is still funny to me, but if I was one of those guys, would I be laughing?
