Fine, let me put it this way. They're reliant on each other in a bad way.
It's a definition of a word, not a moral debate.

Exactly. I've been married and I must say, it's a pain in the arse.
I could write songs in honor of living alone. They would be love songs.

If all else fails, get yourself a dog or a cat if you get lonely around the house. Pets are great company.

Mikey from your "advice" I feel like shooting myself from the gun - NEVER advise anything anyone!

I know the word and the concept. By using the word, you've already accepted the conclusion that its definition presupposes.
So I think I'll redefine co-dependence as "the beautiful state of being in love a la Romeo and Juliet".
There, done, redefined. Now to write to Webster.

That dolt Webster will put any crap in his dictionaries. Why else do you think Americans spell "colour", "centre", "favourite", and other words incorrectly?
Hey John, feel up to making some new subforums?

When one is co-dependent, they lose their sense of self. Their life revolves around pleasing the other person, making sure they are taken care of, doing only what they like to do...etc. Which doesn't sound all that horrible, but they take it to extremes. They often put up with completely unacceptable behavior for fear of abandonment. When not in a relationship, they feel worthless.
That is not beautiful love. That is severely flawed "love".

Setting up a forum appears easy, but then you got to set up all the permissions for every single usergroup in relation to that forum. And we have a lot of usergroups.

You can choose to interpret it that way, if it helps to get you through the days.
I, however, don't subscribe to your definition.

I interpreted your opening post correctly, then. I'm feeling a bit proud about that, it seems to me that I misinterpret too often.
Ok, just one more piece of advice: It is probably not a good idea to look online. Real life is best, IMO.
