Test your brain
I recently received an e-mail from a friend about Brain Games, optical illusions etc. and this one puzzle/test caught my attention. All you have to do is count every "F" in the following text:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...
I got really irritated at myself because I did not get the correct answer.
How bout you guys, how many "F's" did you count? I'll give you the answer later on.  |

6...Ill tell ya the error...People don't tend to count the F from of since its used very commonly and our mind recognizes it as "of" and not "o-f" |

Neither do I. It must be something to do with our vision and how we represent what we see internally within our minds. May be someone else knows?

We instinctively look at entire words or syllables, and the easiest way to check for letters is to assume it starts off a syllable, in a usually-important word. With that "mistake" in mind, check again.
