I think too much can be made of this issue. As said above, the majority on this board seem to make good contributions. The abusers are the exception and can be dealt with when needed. I'd hate to intimidate newcomers and jeopardize the community here.

Harping on about it does pose that ^ danger. It would be good if new comers would familiarize themselves with what is expected of them from the various threads created for that purpose, but who ever does that?

Newbies are fun and sexy on the whole, but some can be infuriating too, I'll mention no names Ed.

I'm all for tolerance by and large. This thread is intended I think to point them in the right direction. If they stray I'm sure a Mod has a quiet word with them, but some still don't get the message. The question is what do we do about those members?

I think sooner or later they'll get up a Mod's nose and get themselves banned. So I ain't gonna worry about it any more. You have all been warned, I don't care if you get banned anymore.

I have an idea. Maybe everyone may want to write just one paragraph, or at least four sentences minimum. Read the thread carefully, and share some past experiences that may be helpful to the thread starter. Or even share some ideas or reference links and how you feel about the links. Even if the person is off a little, some ideas just may end up becoming helpful.

I don't know, just a thought.

So, I am gone for a little while and SITR is starting to get an attitude. What is up with that my friend. Has the forum been that harsh? Or has the 5 word responses to your treads starting to push you over the edge.

I know it was my not allowing you to become Supreme ruler of the Universe or something like that a while back

If a post is 50 words or 5 words the sun will come up tomorrow and your tread will continue. Lets now relax....Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Now that is better, lets go post, and post and create threads.

Ban them if they are bad not if they have not learned how to post and take part.

Agree with that coolguy27, when you post try to give your best shot that the reader or members of this forum may get some substance to your post...Don't post non-sense arguments or such things that obviouly we already know...

Sweet Jesus, how does this thread keep going? Can we assume for the sake of argument that there are enough examples of good posting and cautionary tales of the opposite residing within the previous 130 posts in the thread? Please?
