Do you believe in love at first sight?
I believe in lust at first sight but that is something entirely different. For me I was somewhat hostile to someone, then became enchanted by her and then came lust and finally love. I suspect it is not so with the majority of people.
What about you, do you believe in love at first sight?
Recent research suggests that it does not exist.
According to new research, romance has very little do to with it. That "look" is all about sex and ego.
"It does seem to be a sort of narcissistic thing. People are attracted to people who are attracted to them," said Ben Jones in the Face Research Laboratory at the University of Aberdeen.
"It's really a very basic effect that we are all, at some level at least, aware of - which is that if you smile at people and you maintain eye contact, it makes you more attractive."

Well I think that love happens only when you know a person properly.
The thing known as love at first site is actually loving the beauty/charm of the person but not the person him/her self. I think most of the people should agree on this.

Love at first sight is an impossiblity as how can you love someone just by seeing them for a split second. It seems like some people get confused with love and lust.
Love requires a certain amount of history and you need to know someone and accept their bad as well as their good points.
Lust on the other hand, well, thats a different story.

Whatever it be!
I hate people who confuse between love and lust..
Love is very eternal and lust is just the opposite

Love at first sight? No...
Lust at first sight? Most definitely!
Don't you think lust is an important part of any attraction?
Think of a world without it... I doubt very much we would even be here. People simple wouldn't spend any time trying to attract the opposite sex. A sloth race that would have died out due to lack of interest.
Lust is a basic animal drive. It's one of the few remaining animal instincts we still possess at this point. It heavily influences our lifestyle both positively and negatively. The trick is finding a healthy balance.

Love at first sight? Nah... That doesn't exist anyway...
Lust at first sight? For sure... A lot of times...
Love is not that easy to prove and felt... Not at first sight...

Given that we are mere bags of excitable chemicals, it's probably more like love at first whiff.

Nope. I had the full lust factor going on when I met my husband. But I fell in love with him and still do.

Means you see a beautiful woman in front of you, she is very charming, very stylish etc etc but the moment she starts talking the attitude and stupidity can be seen and you still love her!

Sounds weird to me! (no offense)

OMG..
Anyway, I don't believe it either..
And I have to agree to this line..
"It's really a very basic effect that we are all, at some level at least, aware of - which is that if you smile at people and you maintain eye contact, it makes you more attractive."
I always encounter this.. If a man stares and keeps an eye contact with me, that's when the time that I'm going to realize something like "oh my.. he looks good huh" and yes, that's makes him more attractive.. But anyway, It all depends on the outlook.. Sometimes, even if someone stares at you and you don't like his/her face.. I guess eye contact will not going to work.. heheh

I've used this distinction before. It's a helpful test:
Lust: you want the person more than you can stand and to an irrational degree. You drool. You seep.
Love: you'd wipe their hynie if they needed you to.
If you wouldn't wipe their hynie if they needed you to, you likely are not in love.
I don't recommend trying this, however. Just let it happen...
