How much would you pay to be immortal!
Just want to know how much you guys would pay to be immortal!
BTW you can never get older that 50, so you can still walk, talk, shop etc forever!
Just curious, asked a few friends they said they will pay $0, they would love to die, when the time comes!

I voted zero because it goes against the laws of nature and I may dread the outcome. Sort of like being trapped in one of those Twilight Zone episodes, one in particular, can't think of the name of it.

Now, if the meaning of life was changed, well, that might be a different matter.

What if life changed to something that is completely different of what we know as life, upon death? That would be a trip eh.

The everlasting life spoken of in the bible is not at all similar to our understanding of life. It's completely different, from what I understand. This would be a life that one wouldn't mind living forever, apparently.

But how can something invisible have such power that you only need believe it to benefit in such a way as ever lasting life?

Actually, from the way I've read it and heard it from multiple people, it would be utterly drab. You pretty much would worship, 24/7. Whatever floats your boat I guess. (I'm assuming you're talking about the Bible, Bible, right? Like, KJV, NIV, etc. the Christian bible.)
Anyway, in a way it would be amazing to live forever, but then again it could possibly turn out to be horrible. I mean, you'd see everything, you'd be alive to see the days of your birth in a history book. As long as you know how to manage money, you could become wealthy beyond belief. It may take time, but you have forever - right?
On the other hand though, it could be horrible. You'd also see the decline of society (open a history book, what would a colonial family think of a modern, US family?), you'd see death, you'd see history forgotten, lies began.
Despite what could happen if I were to live forever, and the fact you'd be forced to remain unattached to too many people, I think I'd chose forever over death. I choose $100,000. Not like I have it, or will anytime soon... but you did ask what we would, not what we could.

It's actually easy for me to imagine we're an experiment by and advanced civilization, but damn, the promises in the bible are so extraordinary that, well hell, I mean .. do we really have to be rocket scientists to figure that one out? Who the heck wouldn't want eternal peace and everlasting life and all that? Really? What supposedly normal person would not want these things?
Maybe the kind that fear that it's true instead of believe that it's true, all the while denying it, of course. Let's not forget that nasty down side.
I think hell is just a cute word now. I seen it on TV.

Can all these believers really be off? Are they simply brainwashed and can't realize it?
Well I know I've been terribly brain washed, but did the truth still reside within it? I like to think I've extracted the truth. May I offer it as a suggestion.

Ok, you got me here but I must ask. Where in any of the versions of the bible does it state that?
