If You had the Resources What niche would you go for???

Hello Everyone:

I have come to the Philippines to have a number of websites designed for me. I could not afford to do this in my own country of Canada. I am not rich by any means and wanted to do this now as the disability pension I am receiving right now will decrease greatly in the next few years as I reach 65.

I love playing holdem poker so I thought why not have a website designed about holdem poker. My new site is in the works as I write this note. It's called "Holdempokerinsider.com.

On my side here in the Philippines is the cost to have websites built and an extensive SEO campaign is very affordable. I plan on having a small team of 3 people promote my site initially. If it flies I may hire a team of 10 to keep it in a good ranking position. I believe and may be very wrong that I can make a good living with this if I am on the 1st or 2nd page in Google.

First, do any of you know what kind of income I could receive on page 1 to 3 of Google with a site like this. Ball Park figure. And, do you think my belief that I can reach, say the top 20 in 1 year is way out of line?

I may have to run 2 teams of 3-5 SEO people 24 hours a day to do this for at least 3 months in order to get it launched correctly. I am willing to increase my SEO team once a little revenue starts coming in.

The website I am having built right now is all done in Web 2.0 and PHP. There will be some nice JAVAX scripting and the data base is in MySQL. Nothing really flashy but a solid site that is really friendly with the Google's spyder.

None of the SEO will be done with Black Hat, link farms or 3 way linking etc. Everything on the up and up. Good one way links with specific anchor text as much as possible. And an array of other SEO campaigns to give me a decent ranking.

Lastly, if you had the resources and time what niche would you go after and why? What would you do if you were me?

if its a poker site you will make nice $$ but Filipino workers hmmm lol i once used some Indians to do some work for me... they told me loads of amazing stuff then planned to rip me off just watch out .

Sama31 well anything is possible. This young man come to my home and we work together. He used to work on a huge team of SEO people here in the Phils. A friend and I had 20 working for us last month. When I lived in Colombia I learned not to "give Papaya." That's giving the other person the opportunity to rip you off etc. I lock up my valuables.

If I had the resources, Ill go for the auto insurance industry or credit card stuff.

Would it be difficult to set up a website to cater to that niche? I would think there would be allot of security issues in the credit card area and that I would have to be bonded?

I am curious to hear why you would pursue these niches?

Sam31...funny funny lol. Your comment about workers. I poo pood the notion of my guy not working hard. He worked only 4 days last week and I paid him for 5. He claimed he had a doctors appointment. I paid this last Friday and have not heard from his since lol. In retrospect, I think he did not see a doctor but went on a job interview. Looks like he got the job.

I have allot of projects I want to develop here in the Philippines. I would have given him big bonuses once they started earning some money and I would have bought him some domains so he could work on them along with mine. Many of these people cannot look ahead. They are happy with their 12 hour days - 6 days a week - working for minimum wage here because they feel "secure." It's hard for many of them to think outside of the box.
