I imagine most people don't realize the work involved in building a forum like this, but I think it takes a special kind of person to do it. I myself am just not that kind of person. I'd probably end up in the nuthouse. : /

My only concern with the sale is that the quality of V7N will go down, I never posted like a mad man on hear as I did at other forums but I did always enjoy popping in every now and again.

I hope it doesnt sell to be honest.

No disrespect to John, but it takes more than just an administrator to make a forum great.

Moderators and the users who utilize the forum is the bulk of what makes a forum successful.

Hopefully the purchaser keeps the current staff and knows enough not to mess with the success too much.

To have a successful forum, many things are involved, that's pretty much understood. But to break that same forum, only one thing is necessary, and that one thing is the owner. Think about it. It takes a special person.

I will freely admit that I'd have destroyed it long ago had I owned it.

I've owned/admin'ed a couple forums, and none of them are worth mentioning.

It does take a certain kind of person to be a good administrator. I guess I'm not it... lol

I think $500,000 is fair price for such site. If I am not mistaken, v7n was offer $1 million before.

But for studies, I will not give this site up personally. A couple of hours a day is what I will set aside beside studies as a fun. May be because I usually don't like to study a lot even though I have been through medical degree and now half way through post grad. Actually I am taking paper 3 of post grad exam in 3 weeks' time. Guess what. I have spent 12 hours today infront of computer creating 2 more websites.

Some people do like to focus on one thing at a time and it is in a way good especially if you got children.
