From what I understand, Coptic Christians have a lot of diet restrictions. Weird. First I've heard of it.

No. And I'm wondering if Hanna meant everyday other than during the fast days, which of course she must have, but I'd doubt that too.

I can respect his desire to stick it out and stay, but there is a point where you got to say enough!

Surely that family could see him losing so much weight and surely they should have done something about it. But then he is a bit silly for staying there that long when he could have left, after all it wasn't an enforced stay with them was it?

Don't they check out the families they place these kids with before they pack them off?

The boy's host family is the one's responsible with what happened to him..It's pretty obvious that he's not properly feed.The boy's parents should take an action regarding this matter.
