Who here runs a active forum?

Ok, besides John, who here runs a active forum, by active, I mean you have users sign up everyday, and your post count changes by 100 post a week.

I am not spamming, I have just seen so many members create forums here, I was woundering who has actually succeded in the art for a sucessful forum, it is not easy. I am really tire of people calling me a spammer, I don't mean to be. This is a webmaster forum and if I ask a question that involves a URL, then I get called a spammer, it is hard to have a webmaster forum that you are not allowed to post URL's on.

My forum was active until it crashed. Didnt get a new member a day, but way more than 100 posts a week, sometimes over 100 a day on busy days :-)

Mine was very active but then I mucked it up doing a mod and it has died down a bit now. I'll hopefully get it going again soon.

I guess I am also running PC-Clever at the moment, so that as well.

Actually, that is a fairly creative form of spam, I am going to have to give it a try. Im going to start making threads asking "so who here also runs a site like SiteA" and then put my link in it...Nice idea ATLien, wish I had thought of it first.

he has gotten very good at it over time Rivux.

You should have seen his first spams, they went a little something like this:

"he guys, I was sort of bored so I decided to post my website, not spamming it of course, <website address here>"

he has certainly improved.

I don't really see how this is completely spam... but whatever.

I have one.. well.. basically two forums.. both of which are not active.

I would post links... so you could see just how inactive. But I wouldn't want to be called a spammer, now would I?

Yeah, a link should only be given if it will help those who reply with their answer. I tried hard to think of a reason how this link could benefit people, but it can't really.

I am not a big fan of this, and I think it is especially bad from a mod.

Ok, then posting at all is spam because of the links in most of our sigs.

It was just a question, and he posted the link so that you can see it's actually active. Narrr (don't ask about that one).

I don't really care, i just like giving chris a hard time. he is just trying to get some traffic, having over 1000 post makes it a little more acceptable to try for some traffic from time to time in my eyes.

It seems like he was just asking a question, then sharing his response, just like if i had an active forum i might share what it was as well...it is fairly harmless.
