from what I was told is that you hook it up to your DVR and can watch your own TV live or any recorded programs anywhere you are - so if you travel, a great tool to watch your local stuff.

I thought about buying one once.... but never did. I ended up instead getting a TV tuner and DVR for my desktop, and an Apple TV to hook up to my plasma, and forgot about the Slingbox. lol

It would be cool to have though....

So how does it work? Just checked out the website. Pretty funny trailer on the start (but I'm easily amused)

Why don't you just buy a digibox card for your PC and then use remote deskstop to view it anywhere in the world.

Nice idea though, but TV's rubbish over here anyway!
