Sorry I posted this in the wrong topic

Is it true? I don't use eBay, never really had any use for it but I'm a big user of PayPal. It has some amazing features. If they continue to increase fees and call their members nothing then I could go with 2checkout. At the minute I can't see any disadvantage of this for me, but if they get too annoying then I'll simply go to 2checkout or another payment gateway.

I see you noticed the recent video about Ebay and why people are boycotting them.

Yes it's true. As far as eBay goes, right now the company is going down fast, especially since Meg left and this new CEO took charge. He does not have much use for the community, and is trying to get as money as he can from eBay name. He literally has very little respect for the people that built the business for them. So as a result people are very upset. But eBay is trying to put on a strong face, and so when the Boycott was going on, eBay was padding it's listings by using fake accounts to keep the website appear like it's going strong. In a couple weeks I hear there is going to be another boycott, so I will not be surprised to see ebay doing listing padding again, even though the last time they were reported for doing it to the FTC.

The problem with switching from Paypal, especially with a e-commerce, is that it's usually a bad idea to not offer it. The word / name Paypal has become a strong enigma in the world of e-commerce that people have come to associate it with trust. Even though this is far from the truth. I run two e-commerce sites and more then 90% of my visitors will only click and use Paypal, even though I offer CDG merchant and Google Checkout.

Over all ebay has slipped and it's a good time for a new company to step up, but the question is, will another market place be able to capture market share like eBay did. If anyone is curious about the video we are talking about you watch, The Ebay Boycott & Why people are turning against it.

I know, that's the thing. PayPal has a great name and a lot of people want to use it

Sorry that I posted in your thread by mistake kevalin. I'll try and get it back on topic now. Quite a funny video, especially the whole gallons thing "as that's where most of your money goes anyway" lol

What sparked this? Is America making new coins or is it just random?

Doesn't matter if you want to go off topic, I could care less about that

I personally recommend not giving up Paypal at least not right now. Although paypal is a unique business to stay the least, one example is the fact they are not FDIC regulated which is amazing in it's own right. So as a result Paypal does not have to keep your money in their account, they can use money as much as they please. They don't even have to keep enough money in the account to cover the transactions, like a normal bank has to do. If you want more information you can read this blog entry on it, heres a link for you, What paypal does with your money. This is also another link on the blog post that goes much more indepth.
