I thought you meant 'take someone hostage at gunpoint' and go for an hours-long drive down the freeway... not the best hiding strategy ever, it must be said.

I'd get a job as a prison guard. They'd never look for me in prison and if I get caught I'd not only know the routine, the guards and other inmates but it would be like going to work everyday.
