Bill Gates had been the richest person in the world for the last 13 years in a row. That streak has come to an end according to the new listing of billionaires in the world by Forbes.

1. Warren Buffett - 62 billion dollars
2. Carlos Slim Helu - 60 billion dollars
3. Bill Gates - 58 billion dollars

85% of Warren Buffett's Berkshire holdings are going to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in the form of annually donated stock. The donations began in 2006.

The thing is Bill Gates was number 1 for a long time and was literally blowing every one away not by millions, but billions I remember in like 1996 they said he might be the first trillionaire until the government played monopoly on him.

Yup! If the government didn't step in Bill Gates could have inflated his stock holdings and profits but prior court rulings prevented that!
