Prom Night
I never went to high school prom...
But I see some folks gettin' prepped and they seem pumped about it
I am happy for them
I am going to simply assume some of y'all have memories or some of y'all are gettin' ready...
I do remember prom night though...
We all went to the beach and surfed until daylight...

I never went to prom either. Although I did go with a bunch of 'non goers' and watched my friends walk in. Then I went to the 'non goers' party lol

I wish I wont remember my prom. It was supposed to be a night of class and flirting and dancing and after parties, stupid car broke down even before I reach half the distance to the prom place.
I made though, greasy suit in a taxi(tricycle in our place).... but it was prom, promenade, I remember how stiff my back was sitting all night in one place....

With my daughter's prom only a few weeks away.....I recently reflected upon my own and I hope to God that hers will be nothing like mine....
I went with a friend (he was ONLY a friend) You know the saying: "three sheets to the wind"? Well, I was more like....ten sheets to the wind after all the champagne I had in the limo on the way to the venue I don't remember having dinner, but I do recall dancing like a complete lunatic and spinning and crashing into people.
My most graceful moment was when my girlfriend stopped me as I was walking (staggering?) out of the ladies' room with my long dress flipped over one shoulder. Very classy indeed! That same dress was later slammed in the limo door and torn. Ohh and at some point I lost my shoes. My feet were bleeding from getting cut on various shards of glass and gravel in the parking lot. I didn't even realize it until the next day. Good thing I was up to date with my tetanus shots....
Good times!
This is why I don't drink much anymore...

I never went to mine. For one, I was out of touch with my classmates b/c I took classes at college for my last 2 years of HS instead. I also thought it was kind of silly, and I was going out with a college guy who I'd never dream of asking to go to a HS prom with me. lol.

I never went to any of the school discos but I went to the very last one ever when we finished... No date, on my own as I was a shy thing
That said, I did grab the science teacher up for some dancing and people were pretty shocked probably more to do with my dancing than anything else!!!
