First Aid
Do you own a med kit? Have you ever had to use it? What is in it? Where do you keep it?

I own one and it is in my car due to the work I do and the things I have are band aids, neosporin, sowing kit for stitches and other antibiotics and bandages.

I have one in the car - the original one - it's 20 years old! I guess I should replace some items. I'm starting to feel it has antique value.
I have one in the house that has your essential band-aids and pain killing neosporin, aloe vera gel, burn cream, gauze bandages and wrap, first aid tape, and betadyne. I use all these things all the time. LOL
I'm thinking of saving for one of those super duper ones at beprepared dot com with the sutures and stuff but I'm procrastinating on that. Knowing my youngest, I'll need it quickly enough.....

I used to keep one of those super expensive first aid kits in my truck when I was a contractor.
Never did use anything out of it except for the occasional band aid.

I tend to entertain myself quite easily.
And just for the record, construction is the bestest job in the world. Beats getting stuck indoors sitting in front of a computer 8 hours a day.

I have one at work where I was red cross certified. It had some fairly basic things in it, gauze, gloves, tape, etc.

I don't have a first aid kit either. I guess I got really preoccupied with some other things that I forget to have the important things. I remember cutting myself once accidentally and just wrapped my wound with tissue and ran off to the hospital, I really should get one.

What if there was no hospital near you?
I have 4 med kits in the house and have never used them. I took a gutter medicine for shooters course last weekend and figured, unless I happened to have kids or moved into a war zone, I doubt I'd really need much.

Whats inside a first aid kit anyways? The only alcohol I wanna be having is the one that can be consumed by swallowing it...

I have one and here's what's inside:
Alcohol
Bandages
Antibiotic ointment
Burn ointment
Gauze
Hot/Cold Packs
Scissors
Band Aids
Medicine Tablets or Capsules (for headache, diarrhea, toothache, etc.)
Insect bite ointment
I can't remember the other things inside that box... We always put it somewhere accessible to reach...
