Home made cheeseburgers.
I could feel my arteries slamming shut as I ate them.

Just had one of my top 5 meals ever. It was my friend Emma's birthday. The place was The French at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. I had Pouilly Fuisse with my Scallop and Pork Belly starter, and Amarone with my rare Lakeland Fillet main. Dessert was a local-ish blue cheese with rye bread, fruit bread and grapes, coupled with a Graham's Vintage Port. It wasn't cheap (e.g. they charged double what the wine was worth) but it was absolutely exemplary. I'm probably also obliged to say that in truth, by the end, we were lowering the tone somewhat. But I don't care. It was beautiful.

Heh, for lunch I had a bag of chili crisps (chips to our American cousins) and a Twix. But I did dither between the Twix and the Snickers.
