Mine is the name I use for all humor-related writing. It is the surname of my website's editor of course. There is a suspicious resemblance between this name and that of the classicist Edward Fairchild Watling (1899-1990), who produced the Penguin edition translations of various works by Sophocles, Plautus, and Seneca. I may or may not have had a Watling edition on my shelf in early May 2003 when casting about for a suitable identity for a fledgling webamagraph site. However I'd never admit this in public.

[sillyMode]
In the early 80's I had a space station orbiting Earth with planet killing capabilities.
When the recession hit, I was forced to melt it all down and sell it off as scrap.

StarLab was the name of a BBS I used to run a bunch of years ago. I migrated the name to the web when I first started using the Internet.
Huh, I just realized that I've been using the name for over 20 years. You'd think there'd be a prize for that, but so far: nothing.

Ok, it's just the chrome handle off my toilet, but it's the thought that counts, right?

I wish Ohio was that cool. I have to update mine every 4 years, and go throught he whole ordeal of vision test, new photo and paying them more money. How often do you have to renew license plates?
I choose my username because that's my first name. Actually, way back in the day my username was jakent (first initial, middle initial, last name), but everyone kept getting confused and thought i was a guy. They saw "jake nt" not "ja kent". So I had John change it for me

I didn't want a name that was too closely related to me, so I cast around for some suitably obscure name from books written by one of my favourite authors. StarLab knows of him. I was going to choose my favourite character but someone had beat me to it. I wish I had chosen a shorter name cos everybody has started calling me Sita, which everybody knows is an Indian girl's name
Just for the record I prefer Strongy
(May be I should have gone for a little reverse psychology)

This is Easy.
My name is Logic and I am the corporate mascot for Viper Logic. We are located in California so because on this forum the Logic handle was gone so became California Logic.

Fairness is overrated.
I've provided this thread with one definition. I don't want our dear Cricket to ban me for divulging the other.

Alas, this is why I generally keep quiet. As Twain once said, it's better to keep your mouth shut and have people suspect you of being a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
