How come guys are easily impressed with girls while there has too be many issues/standards about a guy before a girl is impressed. Can't they be contented with who we are and not what we have?

There is a whole world of women out there and they all have their unique way of choosing. All I can advise is to not try and get into their minds too much, there be madness and despair.

Be the best you can, have an open heart, treat them honestly and put yourself out there. The one you are meant to be with will hopefully find you, or you'll come across her in time.

In general, men are more visual and spatially oriented.
Much easier to get impressed in that case.
Women, in general, have a higher emotional acquity (more cells near the ear for better listening too).
Of course, variations and exceptions do apply.

I am honored indeed, and sincerely regret that my gender has earned your despite. I do not need to ask why we have earned such ire, but can think of one or two hundred likely reasons of the top of my head, so will quietly wait for the endless sands of time to subtly cloud the offense(s) in question from your memory.

Well I think, it is not an issue of impression. It is because, when we "want" someone, we can be so tolerant with that person. And when we "don't want" someone, we focus more on their faults. Sometimes, we don't see the worth of the person because we are too busy looking for what he/she don't have.
