Cows were made for meat. Cats and dogs were made to be pets. If you want to eat rats, that is just fine. Everything that is supposed to live in the wild is something one can eat. Cats and dogs are ment to live inside. I know that they all evoluted from this and that, but right now they are cats and dogs and they are not wild animals.

What about wild cats and dogs, can we eat those?

How about lions, they are cats too are they not and they are not domesticated?

1 pound of cat
Marinade:
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine or dry sherry
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Black Pepper to taste
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons cornstarch
Sauce:
1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons water, or as needed
Other:
1 8-ounce can bamboo shoots
1 garlic clove, finely chopped

Serve hot with rice.

i think alot of it has to do with the relationships that people develop with cats vs. cows. cows typically arent a domesticated pet that can be found in the average house. plus who could ever want to eat Garfield?

cats, dogs, rats, or anything related could taste really bad, thats why..! btw I read some articles about life of a soldier during 1800's that human meat is the most tasty and delicious meat. maybe because humans are far more clean compared to animals.
