So I have another lame suggestion... Watch movies... they are old but watch them, watch the oldest movies.. well, watch the movie You got Mail. That was awesome... two people sort of met in the internet and then fell in love.. well, guess you know the story.

Movies are a great idea.
You've Got Mail is actually a remake of a movie from 1940 called A Shop Around the Corner. I've seen both.
I actually prefer less sappy, more realistic movies.

Swimming is kinda vital if you want to surf.
Ever try catamaraning? I learned how to sail one a few months ago. No swimming involved, just understanding wind and currents.
I want to try kite surfing!

You could always try inventing your own language. Extra points for a non-romanized alphabet.

LOL!
Non-romanized would be easier for me than you might think.
I want to see YOU do it. You are linguistically superior!

Sadly, were I to admit to such a feat, it would only confirm my lack of coolness. In point of fact the closest I've come was a grammar deduced for Quenya, back before such things were readily available and the younger Tolkien had published every notebook dad had left behind. It was harder for me primarily because I don't know Finnish, which was the source for most of the structure.
I've spent more years than I care to admit studying language(s) and matters of historical linguistics. At this point, my only goal is to figure out how to express myself in English. That's hard enough.

Only nouns and adjectives. I'm still extremely working parsimoniously on adverbs frumptiously.
Dammit!
