Hope this is the right forum? Developing high quality interactive communities?
So, I've been working on my own site at Ne1up for the past couple weeks, finally had a designer come on board to really make it look good, I'm kinda going after the look of oovoo.com, or at least not my amateur rough draft I put online, and that's finally coming along. Anyway, I was curious what solutions people might recommend or have experience dealing with as far as video conferencing and chat scripts?
I've got about...6 strong options in front of me, and I'm really looking to get some valid and real advice before I pull the trigger on any of these big purchases from anyone who has any experience that might help me make a decision. I've had enough registrations in the few weeks I've had an ugly site up that I'm willing to put down some money, but some are quite expensive.
I'm looking at:
http://demo.flashcoms.com/site/ *1 of 2 preference/cheaper option
http://www.flashcoms.com/demo/chatzone/ *2 of 2 preference/expensive
http://www.flashchatdeluxe.com/index.php *3rd best option maybe at $69 - keep it simple stupid and see how users react before throwing down large amounts of money?

http://avchat.net/
http://www.videoconferencescript.net/features
http://www.tufat.com/script2.htm with
http://virtualjam.net/addons/
https://www.tokbox.com/opentok/plugnplay
Leaning towards Flashcoms as a forum I'm on, PTSDforum.org uses it nicely, the developers seem "real" and reachable, but I still haven't fully fully dug into all of these enough to make a firm decision.
Really appreciate any input, I'm about to revamp my site visually and attach one of these video conferencing platforms, and go from there...
Thank you!
