Trouble installing VBulletin

Hope this is right place to post this. I have owned VBulletin software for years but have never used it because i cant get it installed. The installer runs anywhere from 7% to at one time 85% done and just hangs. I just cannot figure it out and the VB support sucks bad, as does the Vb forum.

Can anyone here help me out ??

When I owned a vBulletin forum, the support did not suck as since I was a paying customer, I got the good support. Moving on... no one on this forum works for VB so our support is not official support but just advice.

First thing you should be checking is to see if your web host has the needed requirements to run a vBulletin forum.

This is listed in there FAQ. http://www.vbulletin.com/en/faq/

Are you using an outdated version of the software? Did you buy it directly from VBulletin or from somebody who was selling their license?

Try using a different web browser to do the install, a lot of people on the vBulletin forums have had the same problem, and resolved it by using a different web browser.

Try to reinstall again, if you still see same problem, you need to contact hosting provider to check it's compatible with vbulletin or not.

check for extensions required to enable for installing vb forums... ask your web hosting provider for that.
