Farmville used to be a fun distraction for me, but it seems they have become more concerned with attracting new players and getting people to play everyday rather than deal with technical problems. I could not use my account for almost three weeks. I've given up and, shall we say, moved on to greener pastures...

I kind of avoid Facebook games now... They are a real time zap and take me away from the games I really love to play. Still I went through a phase were I had to get the best farm, boat, car, army etc.

Not gonna get back into it I don't think. Although I just started a facebook page for my gamers forum so maybe I will try and do some tie ins between the three!

My wife is a total Farmville addict and has around 1800 friends. The only involvement I have is when I need to "spread the word about something". I get her to post it to her friends. I have seen to many people get hooked...and it really is time consuming if you are in to it.
Not my cup of tea.

I have no clue as to why people find it appealing.

Ah the farm ville craze reached Philippines as well. Some of my friends spend specific time to 'harvest' their plans before it decay if not watered or harvested on time.
Am not a fan of farmville though I love watching people playing it, seeing their smile while having some coins and electricity shared with other friends, much more happier when somebody send them a gift.

Being a teenager, my friends used to cheat as well, but am not gonna share it here ... it's prohibited! I don't wanna get banned in this awesome community.

Because of Farmville this thought strikes in my mind ...
Farmville ... a farm where the most nutritious crops are found but you never can eat 'em. LOL

Yes it still exists.

I didn't get into it when all my friends were urging me too. Too bad, it might have been a lot more fun then. But I did try it about a year later when I was stuck with many long hours and not much to fill them.

I'm not sure I could say I was "hooked". I did spend time on it, but never money. But then I'd walk away for months at a time. Many things cost real money in farmville, especially all the horses (which I covet, LOL) and you have to either jump through a LOT of hoops to earn farm cash in various ways, or spend $$ to get them. So I jump through a few hoops, get a few horses, and let the rest go.

I did eventually get to the point where I had "mastered" just about everything, and had more stuff than I had room for. I have well over 1,000 friends on FB and a lot of them play Farmville, so if I want I can have more gifts than I can handle. The farm doesn't have room for them all. I did quit again for some months when I got it all mastered.

Then I check back in recently, and they have added SOOOOO much stuff, and sooooo many quests and tasks that require people to log in often and jump through all sorts of hoops, it appears that it's gotten truly insane. It's more like a job now to keep up with it, and I really can't see the fun in it.

Though I really did want that spotted horse with bluebirds on it's back ...

(not gonna get it though, it requires far more work than I'm able to put in and the deadline is only a few days away.)

I see new people come on all the time. I think it will continue to last.

Oh, and the kid should not have even had access to his savings account, much less his mother's credit card!!!! SOMEONE would be on restriction and have a sore backside for a LONG time if they were my kid!

I don't really understand what made Farmville so popular.. I never found it entertaining at all let alone enough to obsess over and even spend real money to acquire in game stuff...

I received so many farmville and other various annoying game requests.. ugh, so annoying
