What do you like most about gaming?

For me it's all about being immersed in a world or experience that is done well enough to make me feel this altered reality. Whether it be racing, FPS, Flying or Fighting, I look forward to doing things I may never have the chance to do or experience things I may never get to experience.

What is it about gaming that keeps you coming back for more?

What I like most in gaming is that you have this tendecy to release all your stress at the same time you get to know loads of people from all walks of life. You get to learn to value friendship at the same time you got this urge to win the game

The stories, whether they are pre-written or you can make them up (ie. in strategy titles), that's what I love the most about gaming, and that's why I only play SP games and stay away from multiplayer which I consider boring and lacking substance.

GTA4, Batman AA and Trine are the games that had me hooked up during 2009, and the only reason why I played them to the end was their amazing storywriting. Also I've been a lot into Empire Total War, in which you can control your XVIII century empire and re write history as you please in both turn based strategy for the campaign map and real time strategy for the battles, I put many hours into that one and look forward to getting the next version Napoleon: Total War in february.

I can also say I like fancy graphics but that's not all, some games with nice graphics and poor story won't stay very long installed on my hard disk (Far Cry 2 being one example).

Pure enjoyment!

I'm a flight simulation freak, and just this very day I started to set up my second computer and Saitek (is that the spelling) HOTAS etc etc

Relaxation and Balance. I love what I do (teaching others how to get free through affiliate marketing) but you do need to break away and relax doing something else for the sake of our metal health.

No, I'm not round the bend. Yet :-)

The sim just engages me fully and takes me awayyyyyy.

I think Lock On and Falcon 4 will deserve a better computer though. No worry, it's Xmas. And I deserve it. Right?

Right! :-)

Although I don't get into any serious gaming, for me it is an escape, a way to clear my head for a bit.

And a damn good looking head, if I may say so :-)

Anyway, have you seen this? My favorite flight simulator. I flew with these guys (not in their team, they are wayyy to good for me) but several of the pilots were in the (virtual) mission strikes I lead while I was in Russia.

Gaming is my alternative for relaxation after a tiring and stressful day of work. With playing, I'm just thinking about the game and no other things. And I'm enjoyed doing it once in a while which keeps me apart from reality. I think we need that sometimes, being unreal. Plus the fact, that I've already gain friends on that server.

What I like most about gaming is for it to be an outlet of my stress or anger.

So I like playing games that makes me think, some challenging RPG games like Final Fantasy, God of War, Prince of Persia, etc. Those kinds of games are kinda brutal which makes you lose your anger or stress by killing enemies and at the same time makes you think what to do next on different puzzles.

Since I haven't PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii and Xbox. I have only PC and Gameboy Advance SP. In PC, I'm playing online games to meet some new friends is my main reason, second is to refresh my mind and release my stress if I'm not playing more than 2 hours. In Gameboy Advance SP I'm playing RPG mostly to improve my skills and logic.

I couldn't agree more. While most of the games I play are violent I find that they help me relax. I can't figure out why there are so many people that are against violent games. Those are the ones that helped me get through some really hard times and some very angry times as well.
Plus I just like blowing stuff up. Like in FarCry 2 and Crysis. But in real life I actually like building things.
