I think I am bit little late but I was busy in completing the games. So now I am ready with my suggestions. Tomb raider anniversary is a pretty cool game with a lot of challenges (my lil sis likes the action and graphics in it). Still in the adventure games, Prince of Persia trilogy is a nice series. All three parts have amazing graphics built in with a beautiful story lineup. In it, the prince is shown as a parkour which have made the game more interesting as he do wall-riding, hits marvelous combo. So just check this up, hope you too like them.

Star Craft 2 is the new real time strategy game that's very similar to Age of Empires 3. She might enjoy that. Or mybe Lego Harry Potter years 1-4. I've played both of them and there both pretty fun.

Final Fantasy did make one or two online games, but the rest are just regular console games.

FF10 was a good story, but centered around a male character. I don't recall that you can switch in that one, but there are a number of female characters as well.

FF12 has a full cast of characters and you can play as any of them. The battle system is kind of lame, IMO, but the graphics are pretty good and there's lots to explore. The story is basically political.

(FF11 was online only, I believe, and I have not played it or FF13, but I've played all the others from FF7-FF12)

There's another that centers on the female characters. I believe it was called FF10-2 or something similar. My daughter really liked that one. As I recall it's kind of a scaled-down version of FF10.

Another one my daughter enjoyed was Xenosaga. She played 1 and 2. The main character is female, and there are other female characters as well. If I remember right, you usually play as the main female, but sometimes the story switches to another character for a short bit. In the battles you can choose which characters are playing. This one is more a space fantasy game, but it has other settings throughout.

She might be too old for it, I'm not sure, but Kingdom Hearts was a big hit with a lot of the girls too. That one is actually somewhat entertaining even for adults, but the main characters are kids -- one boy in particular -- joined by various Disney characters. It's tamer and easier than FF, but in the same vein.

Hope she's found something she likes.
