Team Fortress 2 Is Now Free To Play

Anyone happy?

Quote:
Team Fortress 2, a highly popular online action game, is now free to play without restrictions, game developer Valve has announced.

Paying customers will still get their money’s worth, though, through access to extra features: rare items, more storage space in your backpack (300 slots compared to 50 for free accounts), the ability to give and receive gifts, and improved special abilities such as crafting and trading.

All other aspects of the game, however, are the same. To convert your free account to a premium account, simply make a purchase of any amount in the in-game Mann Co. store.

Check out a short video announcement for the new, free Team Fortress 2, which will surely get you hyped up for the game.

The video is awesome!!!!!

Free game? where....... aaaaw its online........ man it sux being in SA sometimes. Our net won't support proper gameplay. Not to mention that most of us (present company included) are on a capped adsl connection.

Games like this one and WoW have always had me interested. Even with the multiplayer options from most of my games, makes me cry when I realize it will never happen here for me.

10 gigs. After that I have to top up. Plus, they say I get 100mb/s, but it really isn't nowhere near that fast. So, my bandwidth has to be shared out between work and play, and so far, work takes the cake.

That's not news for me and I've already got Team Fortress II in my Orange box. Really cool game and, any gamers say that it's a silly replica of SC, but I'm not agree and think that TF is another wonderful game by Valve, exiting and memorable as well.

I'd never played TF2 until last weekend and I have to say that it's awesome lol. I even setup another Steam Account on my backup rig just so her and I could get familiar with the maps via LAN and then double team online.

Gameplay is very similar to HL2DM, fast paced and insane but much more cartooney and funny to watch.

Definitely going to be playing much more of it in the future.
