Dota 2: Your Thoughts and Expectations

Valve has release a new online multiplayer strategy game called DOTA 2, an expansion or a sequel of DOTA from Warcraft 3. For those DOTA fans out there, what are your thoughts and expectations for DOTA 2?

You're right, With all due respect to HoN and LOL, the game's quite good and may get the attention of some gamers. I saw the tournament for Dota 2 and I can say that the graphic's great and almost everything were imported from the old Dota to Dota 2. The gameplay's still the same. I just hope it would be release d to the public soon.

I expect better graphics, new characters and more character dialogs. If only they can create dota as a solo game, not only a map.

I've gotten close to a competitive level with dota. Skills are easily transferable to the other games (HON, LOL). Only thing is that dota as a game hasn't evolved. The game can still last up to 2 hours (epic, but also fail at the same time)...

I have to say I do favor shorter games.

I used to be an avid HoN player and enjoyed it greatly. I was invited to the Dota 2 beta and approve of it greatly. Theres a familiar feel from the original Dota, and the game looks beautiful. I have recently gone back to HoN, because it is a full retail game and is a nice transition, while Dota 2 is still in its beta phases. Overall i will be purchasing Dota 2, and can't wait to see how the full game is.

I watched the whole 1m tournament of Dota 2 and I was impressed, but It's taking them to long to release it.
