Try taking a look at v7n's FAQ:
http://www.v7n.com/forums/faq.php?fa..._threads_posts

By the way, i moved your reply over here to the "Are You Lost? Ask A V7N Moderator"-thread. You will probably get better help here.

If you mean to offer your services we have the Marketplace. Be sure to read the general rules and the sticky threads in the specific section you wish to place your ad.

We do not have the Marketplace broken down like that. Just Want to Sell Services and Want to Buy Services.

I am not certain if the question refers to wanting to promote those things or if it is needing help with specific issues.

If it is questions involving need help or tips in regards to blogging, we have a section here:
http://www.v7n.com/forums/blogging-forum/

We also have a design lobby here:
http://www.v7n.com/forums/web-design-lobby/

If however you are looking to advertise your services, then it would be as HTMLBasicTutor already mentioned - in our Marketplace.

Hello guys.
I want to ask, is it allowed for me to make a thread where I share with the forum my new online tool for webmasters? It is free. If it is allowed, in what category should I do that? I don't want to spam, but I want to tell people about it and to hear some feedback as well.
Thanks.

Self promoting is not allowed anywhere on this forum.

If you is selling a product or a service, you may create a thread in our marketplace section in the correct category.

I see that there is a "Free Web Services" forum. Would that be the appropriate venue for a post such as that?

However I did not realize such that thing at my other posts. I checked again tried to post to a different thread could not see the backlinks thing. What is the difference for this thread casing this?

Beside adding backlink means that each time a new post added to the "what are you listening" thread, the thread will send a ping to the backlink url that is posted there? Or do I have to add my website some html code to see what added to this thread. Hence every time a new post added to this thread my website posts the new post added to the "what are you listening" .

I a little bit confused and might asked in a confusing manner, hope to explained my thoughts.
I believe trackbacks, pingbacks etc has been disabled on v7n, so i honestly don't know what links you're talking about. Maybe you could provide us with an example of the links you're talking about?

I think he may also be referring to similar threads that are displayed at the bottom of a thread.

That was also my first thought, however since no moderator replied to the question for more than a day, i thought asking the member for some additional informations was the right thing to do, to be sure

@sunsun: If you're talking about Similar Threads, those are links to threads, similar to the thread you're reading. It's not linkbacks, it's other threads on v7n similar to the thread they are listed on(the thread you find the links in, at the bottom). Not all threads have similar threads, so some threads may list no similar threads or less than the 5 maximum similar threads, if if the forum software can't find 5 similar threads.

I did not reply because I did not know the answer. While I have not seen it for some time I do recall seeing a whole list of stuff at the bottom of threads when reply was clicked by me. I don't recall seeing it lately. If I see it I will post the thread.

You are fine but stop with the speed posting because you tend to not read all the replies in the thread and miss things. Check out our quality posting guidelines sticky thread in the lobby section.
