I do believe the trackback feature comes with VBSEO in which V7N has been using for years.

Here is what it means.

Quote:
Trackback is simply an acknowledgment. This acknowledgment is sent via a network signal (ping) from Site A (originator) to Site B (receptor). The receptor often publishes a link back to the originator indicating its worthiness.

Trackback requires both, Site A and Site B to be Trackback enabled in order to establish this communication. Trackback does not require for Site A to phisically link to Site B.
http://www.vbseo.com/linkbacks/#trackbacks

Here is more information on this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrackBack_URL#Function

Sorry if this wasn't that helpful, i don't even use this feature here on V7N forum.

It'll take a lot more to do that on here. Have a good weekend.

Comparatively. I guess you've seen better, too.

I do hope you took the time to add some rep for the mod. We love recognition when it's due.

Glad you are on board.

I have a question about this directory special... (before anyone barks about doing a search, I have already read the info.)

From what I understand, you put your company on a directory so people can find you.
What I don't understand is; should you use any/every directory, or should it be industry specific?

You guys are starting to get to know me, and know that my company is different than what most of you do.

25% off seems hard to pass up... would it apply to my small business?

For your type of business I would definitely consider submitting to the regional category, specifically for your state.

Wow! You're fast!
I looked through the info, and figured that would be the case.

It kind of sounds like it helps with SEO for your site... right?

So, is it something you need to register each individual service, or is it a "one size fits all" kind of thing?
(Hope that made sense...)

Thanks, by the way.

You usually choose your specific URL to submit and include at least some of the services within the description.

What I look for in a directory is relevance and quality. If you are building a local business, then having links relevant to your location, as the regional listing would be, is relevant. And if you respect V7N as a company, and I am guessing you wouldn't be posting in this forum if you didn't, then you have quality covered.

I bought a link in this directory some time ago, and also submitted that of two clients.

You might want to seek other regional directories and niche directories that have to with home services ...

One last (hopefully) question regarding the directory...

How many keywords should I come up with?
I read the part about 'not having enough being the biggest mistake,' but I also don't want to bombard you with every keyword I use.

EDIT: never mind, I found it... thanks anyway.

Question review?

Is there a place in the forum where I can ask for members to review my website?
