Checking PR without Toolbar

Is there any way to check a site's PR without the Google Toolbar?

I've been using Firebird, with can't use the Toolbar.

is your site listed in dmoz, and then already in the google directory? if yes, you can go to the google directory, find your site in it, and on the left side of the title of your site, tehre is a green bar, which will indicate the PR of your site.
But, if your site is not listed there, let me know your URL and I'll check for you if you want.

No, it's not in DMOZ.
I can always check it myself in IE, but I would prefer not to.

Google's directory PR values are not the same as the Toolbar PR values. There are 9 PR divisions in their directory listings and 10 in the Toolbar. Besides the directory listings only show the pages in the directory rather than each page on a site.

Thanks Phil. But I have one problem. I don't have an index.dat file in my temp. internet files folder!

If your on XP, there are a bunch of temp internet files folder, I found like 3 before. maybe you can search for them?

I tried a search for index.dat.
Yes, I'm on Windows XP.

I've no idea where it is in XP - sorry. Try to find a file that contains the data - it should be there somewhere.

That tool gives me a 2.85 on a site that has had a PR of 4 for almost a year now. *shrug* Yeah, there's a disclaimer that it's not entirely accurate. However, the inaccuracy is pretty large.
