Google and Yahoo
Looks like Yahoo is going to start running Google's ads (if the feds don't get involved).
It will be interesting to see what else Yahoo and Google partner up on.

I do have to wonder why the Senate has to get involved in this.

Thanks....it's so sad I missed that. I've been keeping to myself getting ready for Christmas.
If I could suck back the post I would <wink>.
(And I post so rarely that to be redundant is sooo disappointing.)
Have a good weekend.

As Google and Yahoo! continue their volley of product offerings, I thought it would be useful to compare the interface design solutions each company employed to solve similar user needs.... <article continues here: http://www.lukew.com/ff/entry.asp?189 >

In other words: how does Yahoo’s version of a product (Maps, Local Search, Image Search, etc.) compare to Google’s? Though some product offerings are virtually indistinguishable (Web Search, Image Search), others differ significantly (Groups, Product Search).
At a high level, Yahoo! has better integrated business goals with their product designs. For example, their comparison shopping site features multiple entry points that better match consumer shopping behaviors (browse by brand, browse by category, featured products, etc.) than Froogle’s single search box. Yahoo! also has more robust answers to vertical information finding (Travel, Finance, Movies, etc.) than Google’s Web Search features. That doesn’t negate the value of Google’s simple solutions to these tasks. It’s just that a simple solution sometimes requires something in addition to (or other than) a search box.

Pagelanding, if you are going to copy and paste other's work, at least attribute it and/or link to the original. Otherwise it looks like you are trying to pretend these are your observations. That's certainly how it looks to me. The article you copied continues and has more useful info. Here it is:

The Yahoo/Google partnership has several hurdles to clear, including ongoing squabbling amongst Yahoo board memebres and investors, as well as regulatory scrutiny, which could take months to sort out. Stay tuned!!
