Why google analytic data is different from my admin data

I am running a campaign in my site. I have the set up to track all data, like no. of impressions served, clicks generated. This data is showing a good amount of clicks generated through the campaign circulated.

However my clients are saying that they have google analytic to track the campaign performance, which is showing remarkably very less data. Its like 100 we had shown and they are getting 4 as per google analytic data. Whereas we know we are tracking the exact data.

Please help me to know why this difference is happenning.

Thanks

Really this is first time heard about the report, there is some hours delay on recording and upadation, but if u check one day before data u should get accurate. Any how tell your client to make sure that the analytic script is copied properly in all page of the site. And also did not add any filter on it. After verifying it tell them to remove the analytic script and delete the site from google analytic. Then add again and copy the new script, paste in all pages of the site. This did not solve the problem update the thread again will see it later

I know that GA has some delayed on the data update. I think that you need another tools to track and compared data, and help you figure out the exact data!

Again many reasons:

If the Adwords visitor leaves before your analytics code can kick in (leave before page loads) - or they have security set high or no java enabled - guess what GA doesn't count it - but the click is recorded in adwords.

PPC affiliates, tracking is not able to recognize clicks from Google Network sites as being affiliated with Google. These clicks are labeled only with the third-party site name

Internet browsers pass along the referrer header when a user clicks your ad. Some versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc. do not support this and will not send this information. Also, some proxies and corporate firewalls strip out the referrer headers no java enabled can account for 35 - 40% of day traffic.

If your tracking software (Google analitics) uses cookies to record referrer headers, ad clicks without JavaScript enabled will not be tracked

Users may click your ad several times in a relatively short period and may not count these repeat visits to your site. As long as the click patterns do not fit a profile of abuse they will be counted in your AdWords account statistics.

So use the logs files and put in a tracking code in your adword links.

My guess is you probably get some irrelevant traffic from adword (really? That's possible?) so they leave your site before the GA codes are loaded. (bottom of the script)
But as PFB explained above, there a lot more reasons than that.

Ask them if they added the adword campaign in GA.

Google Analytics data depends on cookies (small files that are automatically stored by websites visited on the user’s computer) and such cookies depend on javascript. many internet users disable the use of javascript and Google analytics can not track those visitors to your site with disabled javascript.

Google Analytics doesnot count when a person from single IP refreshes the page. Whereas your system might do. I had this problem with my blog.
