Google Chrome out of Beta
I'm a day late on this but it doesn't look like anyone else has posted about this.
Google Chrome is now out of Beta!

Since we first released Google Chrome, the development team has been hard at work improving the stability and overall performance of the browser. In just 100 days, we have reached more than 10 million active users around the world (on all seven continents, no less) and released 14 updates to the product. We're excited to announce that with today's fifteenth release we are taking off the "beta" label!
|
Now that we're looking at a more stable release I may have to take another look at chrome.

yes, Chrome is better than IE 8 beta version, that version of IE have many compatibility errors with websites.

Chrome is a tester i think to see how far Google can push it's own products. It's funny they never added the toolbar, which once you're used it, is annoying to not have it (right?). I think based on success of Chrome, they might start developing an OS for computers. Microsoft got wind of this and tried to steal Dell from under Google's noses (pre-installing windows bar and IE8 on certain new comps, allegedly) but with chrome doing so well and so shortly out of beta, then it could win them back!

Well this is good as beta was awful with lots and lots of security holes. Though I don't use it nor will I ever use it anyway.
