Internal forums pages PR

Hello,

I read that backlinks from high PR forums give me more serp value that backlinks from low PR forums. This make perfect sense.

But most forums have a PR > 0 only for the homepage and sometimes few other pages. When it comes to the page where my backlink actually is (as a signature or any other way) i noticed that the PR of that page is always 0.

So since the backlink is always coming from a PR0 page, what is still the difference between backlinks from popular or not popular forum sites?

it's just that your post will be seen way faster if it's in a popular forum rather than your own forum with 14 members.

A popular forum usually has a better network : more backlinks from outside and reviews, and has more and better content. That to a search engine makes the site more relevant. If you get backlinks I'd want them from the site considered most relevant by the search engines when it comes to my keywords.

I don't think forum links are considered to be genuine as they are not related. It is always preferable to get backlinks from the related sites.

I think they are when the forum general topic is the same as your website's.

Posting in forums is not going to give you a lot of PR. Try Blog commenting on high PR blogs.

I guess it would give weigh if bots crawl the thread (page) were your site is linked.

Forum posting could give your traffic to your site. Search for blogs that has high PR and submit a quality comment so that moderators would accept your comment.

True, forums have high traffic, but the main benefit is links. I'm not sure why, I just know I've heard that the SEO experts say that even if your link is on a PR0 page of a PR7 site, it's worth more than having a link from a PR0 page on a PR3 site. I'm not sure why, that's just the way it is.

Google calculating the value of links by its PR and also the domain s PR. As u say almost forums posting not getting any rank but its main category and main pages with soem good rank and the pages near to its also getting some rank . The quality of its is better than other links with less rank

The basic difference is in traffic for the website. Famous fORUMS have lot of visitors which increases the chances of visit on your forum. Less popular forum have less so less visitors.

They certainly are "genuine". I just believe that Google does not value them as highly as other one way links for obvious reasons.

But, if you have a relevant backlink, that will give more SERP value than a link from higher PR which is not relevant to your keyword.

In popular forums, there's higher chance for your link and signature to get noticed. Same time, there's also higher probability it will gain PR as well.
