Could a 1000 backlinks low PR outrank 200 high PR links?

Is there some sort of formula that allows me to calculate this?

Maybe it isnt possible at all but i can imagine that a thousand or maybe even more backlinks would eventually outrank less high pagerak pages.
Any ideas...

Trust me im no expert on this

but from what I gather, if the 1000 bl came from mostly different IP's, then it could be better than the 200 high pr back links..

There's obviously the chance that the low pr links could some day achieve higher pr.. then it would almost certainly become more beneficial to have the more links.

Why not just try for a 1000 high pr backlinks?

Anyhow, this my first attempt to answer a question on anything to do with seo, so you have my full permission to laugh

Sure it's possible, maybe not if they are both targetted in the same manner, because a lot depends on how the actual anchor text is targetted

Everything is possible but the terms "high" and "low" should be properly defined before you'll start a discussion what will outrank what...

sure there is a formula, but there are lots of variables (such as # of links on each page, etc.)

try not to worry about the exact math and just do what makes sense to add value to your site in the eyes of searchers OR in the eyes of search engines.
