My BL's have increased alot but I have lost a ton of backlinks, it seems only a few sites are being shown with tons of links as apposed to before when there were higher PR sites with more links. - Google is probably using the sandbox thing alot more now. - Or its just made a few more friends like mad hatter and deleted some BL's

Looks like alot of PR0-1 in backlinks as well may be a hiccup or G is messing with us.

Cause Backlinks have changeed no PR no SERPS?

I am also noticing it takes like 2 go rounds for BL to update cause I am seeing alot of links I got 2 moths agao that are showing up now and some I aded a month ago that have not been added?

But I am seeing alot of low PR BL in results

SANDBOX I love that one I have poste din other forums about my theories and thoughts on sandbox...in a nutshell
there is NO sandbox...Google has always taken 3 moths to get sites listed..IT is just a name someone gave cause they could not optimize well

My 2 cents on sandbox

It might be a silly question but, what's the difference between IBL and backlink?

And why do I not see the backlinks to my site with "link:www.domain.com" even though I see some of them when searching for only "domain" (just because the anchor text contains "domain" without www and com)?

a few reasons...
  • some of them go through redirects and are not hard coded links.
some link to the non www. version of your site
others are too new to show up.
and still others do not show up because the backlink checks are weird in that they usually only show some backlinks. Yahoo! usually shows more than Google does. with Y! it is linkdomain: vice with Google it is link:

For example. If I search specifically for the links on my signature I find'em on Google. But they don't appear on the list when I make a search for "link:www.domain.com" (actually nothing appears there )

it just takes time.

this site just moved so it will take a bit for these pages to show up as backlinks.

There is something really going around.
Which i don`t know everybody is missing.
I won`t be surprised if we meet another Florida update. Google is showing IBLs from PR0,1,2,3 sites too. It can be explained as, IBls from all sites counted ever since but were never showed in google. So google is making some changes. Fine explained.. but why links from high PR sites are missing...
I have a feeling themed linking is going underway, and PR will going to jump around a lot. Major revisions expected in google algo... ( I hope, I am wrong)..

There is some chance that google is going to enforce the link stability. i mean people are buying and selling text links on monthly basis. So google might be opposing that, it is implementing a period before link from an authority site starts adding to your PR.

There migth be a relation between strenght of th Page where your link is placed ad how old is your link... I hope I hope I am wrong.....

the numbers are honestly a bit arbitrary. what really matters is "what they are using to determine relevancy" not "what they are showing as backlinks"

last month they started showing some backlinks that they had blocked the outbound pagerank on.

in my opinion Google is just trying to confuse us by showing random stuff to make it harder to buy links.

My success doesn't depend on the number of backlinks listed or PR given.

ok looks like I was wrong

I used that helpfull link at the .dk domain and it looks they added ten links to me to bad they are my own back links.. I really am suprised how slow google is to catch up to information they already have in their system. I have well over a few hundred links when I go to check manually

This backlink update has taken many SEOs for a spin...
Is Google just playing with us, or hiding something from us..

I have started a thread on same discussion, whats happening in this BL update..

what it looks like is this google is not showing HIGH PR maybe so when you buy or get "artificial links" you will not know if google passes this PR so it is like pot luck not knowing if the HIGH pr links you are getting if they work so they are showing us the LOW pr links which mean nothing
