Yes, and its nothing to worry about.

Sometimes my forum will lose 100,00 - 150,000 indexed pages. A week or two later their back. Its nothing to worry about.

There's nothing to worry about. This kind of scenario is normal especially for new sites.

Google handles a huge database. It is possible that something slipped, but usually it will recover.

I think Google is continually re-indexing and re-evaluating their listing so this sounds completely normal. I've seen my results move as far back as page 12 (or more) only to jump back to the top 3 or 4 once again.

I have been experiencing fluctuations of this kind for more than 1 year now, pages appear then disappear then they come right back again. Same thing with traffic...

MRamses is an unknown quantity at this point
I too have noticed that pages disappear from Google's index and then reappear a week or so later.. It all happens with a certain regularity.

probably. your competitve site outworked you on link building. as we all know nothing is permanent in SERP. it doesnt mean having top spot for this week, it would still be on top the next time you check google, especially if your stopped link building progress.

being on top of serp doesnt also mean, if your ranking ever drops, it would only be a number of notch down.

this occurred to me before. i was optimizing a client's site. It was already at the top 5 for a couple of weeks, and after just a few days of no link building its rankings suddenly collapsed. It dropped drastically from the top 100 sites.

I think to maintain a sites position is to continually work on link building your site.

Your site has a language mismatch - it can be spidered but google doesn't know whta to do with the crap (more than likely a server setup problem - see if there's a mod for your cms to fix it
