Onpage Optimization

just lettting you know that onpage optimizations still have a lot of power. I was ranking lower and lower on a specific keyword after a new design and at the end I was on page 10 under that keyword. Then I added alot of that keyword in the body and now my rank is #4 after only 1 day. Don't forget the real optimization in the hunt for pr and links

frequently changes in search results have little to do with changes you just made on your pages. there is a feedback loop for search engines to notice and process the changes you make and that feedback loop is usually greater than a day.

keep in mind that search engines frequently tweak their algorithms and that is the reason for many shifts.

I know, and I suspect that the feedback loop is at least 1-2 months... but it's different with the freshbot. I am allways boosted when the page is fresh and therefor this optimization will benefit me a few days now and perhaps in 1-2 months from now on unless I change it again.

your improved relevancy may be 100% due to the changes you recently made. My comments were geared to the new webmaster who finds this thread through a search engine in the future. Most changes have a time delay in the feedback. Sometimes they do not though.
