I strongly believe that google dir was created just for PR. how could they explain their own pr10 otherwise.

the directory was created as an easy way for them to place more weighting on DMOZ listings and to also give people what they thought is a more useful version of the DMOZ directory.

they organize results within a category by pagerank and they also search the full page text of the listed pages vice just searching the listing description and title.

I'm getting the feeling their playing with their own algo a little too much...

Their going to make a mistake....

Lately it seems they're consentrating on confusing the seo too much and consentrating on accurate serps too little....
