Adsense Impression and Page hits

I am confused.

My website logs shows me 1500 hits while adsens shows me only 300 impression.

why there is so much difference.

Generally google count impression according to IP and location.

As you know also If same ip click and click again on your adsense code then google will give you nothing, coz he have good rules for fraud click.

And we log show total hits does not matter clicks are from same IP or from different IPs.

Thanks
Alex

How much google pay for a click depends on how much their adwords clients bid on adwords campaign.

google never give such kind of information, even if we are as publisher.

when we act as advertiser google only give us about price range according to our highest bid in order to get the first position in adwords

correct me if i'm wrong

It is because of a simple reason that the website log and page impressions are totally different kind of statistics.

I think web logs counts the hits from Search Engine Bots too. These hits can be a lot of numbers.

I suggest that you do not worry about the page impressions. Use Google Analytics to see the amount of traffic your site have. The main thing is the CTR and the amount of traffic you have.

To add to this, I think that visitors that arrived at your website and immediately clicked back away also don't count. Immediate bounce would mean that a visitor wasn't supposed to land on the website and see the ad.

I may be wrong - please feel free to contradict

It is more confusing than splitting atoms. I have several 3 different ad system the same page on one site and all three will register different impressions. Its an oddity that cannot be explained.

It depends on how much the advertiser bid for the keyword.

I have just linked Adsense account with Analytics. Apart from hits there is a difference in revenue while both reports are coming from Google.
