Google Backlinks

i have 1500 backlinks in yahoo(approx)
1000 in alltheweb(aprx)
1500 in altavista
1500 in msn,

and all rising daily and of good pr (not that pr matters that much,but the links are from very good sites i.e no gambeling,aldult)

i have 14 back links in google,

at the moment i'm targeting on very competive keyword and nearly all the links i talk about above are anchor text links with this keyword in.

these back links have only shown up with-in the last couple of days,but when they showed ,my site for the above mentioned keyword in google went up consederably.

So heres the question ,even though google shows praticly none of my back links has it credited my site and knows about the bls but just chooses not to show any?

if so i can stop checking my backlinks in g everyday and spend more time concentrating on my linking stratagy

Forget your back links in Google. Goggle will be taking into account all of your links – even though they do not show in there link check.

That really needs repeating, so here:

Google's backlink command is not useful.

and in terms of checking your backlinks everyday - google's report of sites that link: to you don't update daily, it's a number of weeks, sometimes three sometimes several weeks between BL updates.
