Google dancing

I am trying to target the following keywords listed below in google.

credit card fraud prevention
credit card fraud protection
credit card fraud detection

But my site is ranking 1n 30 - 40th positions for the keywords given below;

card fraud prevention
card fraud protection
card fraud detection
Even I have placed the phrase "credit" in all places.... My original keywords are dancing up and down. If today its in 100th position day after tomorrow it will be in 400the position in google....So can any one suggest me some ideas to prevent this type of dancing..

How old is your site?

If its a new site then such bouncing is normal. In order to get a stable place in SERPs, your site needs to get some quality and relevant backlinks.

It was pretty a competitive market/keywords, expect to see some dancing, as you call it or change in serps

Keep your link building going on and try to get some power full back links from some authority pages. Stable ranking in SERP takes time, if website is relatively new then patience and hard work will pay you the best.

i think that baxy is correct. keep building quality back links and eventaully the site stabilizes.
it makes me wonder why there are such fluctuations - the theory leads me to believe that if you aren't changing anything on your site, then it must be something off site, meaning to me that it has mostly to do with your links and the links of your competitors (plus the fluctuations of the search engine and its many centers responding) - maybe they are getting lots of links or you are and that changes things dramatically. also it could be that it takes google a while to find and catalog/rank new links, and then they kick in. or even that some of your links drop you or they lose their juice for some reason etc....

It's normal, last week my site (5 weeks old) was page 1, now this week it's page 6

My site is pretty old and I to have been going through the same thing. I will shoot up to the first page for my wanted keywords getting 400-500 organic hits then sink back down to well over a hundred. Personally I know there are some people that don't believe in the google dance, but I jump hundred up and down ever other day or so. Anyway just keep building links you can't do anything about jumping up and down in the serps.

Good grief! From 100 to 400? I've been experiencing keyword fluctuation in SERP, but not that far. I guess you need to double your SEO efforts to make a stable position in SERPs.

dude its normal.. just keep on what you are doing.. there are other site that might also use those phrases and that's where the competition happens..

Hey, there have been some changes on Google's end. I have personally experienced this issue, one fine day at the start of the day I checked one of my domains, its Page Rank was 8. This leap was of 6 places, which means my previous PR was 2 which jumped to 8, which was very surprising for me.But, I was aware of changes happening with Google. Later during the day when I re-checked it, it had got back to my previous rank. It was a bit disappointing for me but I'm working hard to secure a better rank.

I assume that first of all you need to learn who are your competitors and then maybe you will change keywords. Starting with very competative keywords that is not good idea

Looks like you have a pretty competitive keywords there and thus it's natural to see the position bouncing up and down just like that. More backlinks should help.

The "dance" is normal and can be temporary or a tweak to the SE algorithm. Either way the only thing we can do on our end is create more content, double check our ONpage optimization strategies and build more quality backlinks. Fight through the dance!

Yes don't worry it's a normal condition. If your site have a strong back link enough. It's will be established.

it's in Google algorithm that if site below in age of 2 years on the net then sudden link building goes on with below in age of 2 years old sites SERPS fluctuation is the normal process. so keep doing to build quality link building for your sites.

it's my personal experience i have been since 2006 in to this SEO Industry and optimize over 50+ sites.

I was having a problem with our site's keywords rankings,
from the last 2 months our site's keyword's appeared in
Google for almost 11 keywords out of 15, but now only 6 kws
appeared and they are in their lowest position..

I'm doing the promotion for our site continuously and until
now I can't see the result.. and sometimes the kws that
appeared will be replaced by a another kws..
